Technological development, which consists of making investments in machinery and technology, must be accompanied by professional growth and knowledge development. With these few yet clear considerations, in 2021, the Euro Stampaggi Group decided to create a new department dedicated to Research and Development. The two R&D departments at Euro Stampaggi and LCS Stamp – both part of the same Group but technically autonomous and independent – were merged.

The sharing and discussion of the know-how developed over many years of experience by two similar companies, but which have followed technical and organisational paths that do not always overlap, has great potential. It is possible to test and implement turnkey solutions, already developed by the respective subsidiary, with clear advantages in the short term. On the other hand, and this is the most challenging point, aiming at the medium- and long-term objectives, the conditions can be created to develop completely new solutions.

Companies are complex systems in which the non-linear organisation of the individual elements that constitute them can bring about an unpredictable result greater than the sum of the individual parts. Scholars call this phenomenon “emergence” and call the unexpected or unpredictable results of these interactions “emerging properties”.

In addition to the internal R&D Department, the company has established collaboration agreements with professionals and Research Centres, from the Department of Materials Technology at the University of Florence, Italy, to similar departments at other universities in Northern Italy, up to the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara (USA).
