Towards the New Workshop/2.

The views of our colleagues at Pa.Co. Stampi: Simone Masiero.

Simone is one of the founding partners and recalls his time working for Giuliano Simonelli’s company when it was still called Si.Co. “We were founded in 1996 to specialise in plastic moulding,” he explains, “and over time we have specialised in the fashion sector. In 2006, Euro Stampaggi became a shareholder, and in January 2008 we moved to our new premises, where we installed our first high-speed moulding unit.”

When asked what he thinks of the proposed merger between Pa.Co Stampi and the in-house workshop, he replies: “I was initially struck by the nature of the conversation with Giuliano, who asked for my opinion on this project rather than simply informing me of a decision that had already been made. I thought about it at length and decided to answer honestly about what I thought would be best for our companies, rather than what I thought would be best for me. Selfishly speaking, in fact, I should have said that everything should be left as it was, that nothing should be changed, because we know that Pa.Co. is a craft-based business, a gem in terms of organisation and staff wellbeing… But Euro Stampaggi’s project is very exciting, and offers an incentive in terms of professional growth and prospects for modernisation, especially for our younger colleagues. On our own, we certainly cannot expect to grow so quickly or make significant investments in technology. I believe the most delicate aspect will be redefining everyone’s roles within the new structure, along with their duties and responsibilities. But I am well aware of the professionalism of both groups that are set to merge, and I know this will not be a leap into the unknown, but a guarantee of continuity.”
